THALIA – NEFELI suite

The arched windows and with the panoramic views, the seasons of the year and the beauty of the environment, come to join the quality of the place and the details of the interior.
The recycled pieces of the floor wood, provide the back of the bed to remind the steps of the past.
…And the curve on them, designed by the architect-owner, soften the straight lines!...
The old doors with the fluttering lines remind the patient hands of the local carpenter, while others, stay here intact, leaving the woodworm to create it’s own sculpture!
Painted ceilings, designed by wooden laths in both rooms, light by old chandeliers are the witnesses of the effort to join the past with the present, and the need of an aesthetic result.
The mirror with the lace from granny’s hands together with a velvet ribbon and the clay rosette at the top, teaches the knowledge of recycling art.
We leave at the end the “Turcobaroc” style fireplace, still working, with the wavy cover top, the two arching windows on both sides and the restored basket with flowers at the top to finish it.
Seven layers of colored asbestos were scraped away to bring the fireplace top back to the original form. These layers were put by previous owners to “refresh” the fireplace!
This feature is one of the authentic samples to warm up the room and the feeling of the guests.
